When you think of all the randomness that need to happen in order for a certain act to be completed, it is foolish to try to beat all of it. It really does sound like a bad idea.

Yet it’s not. It’s only natural for us humans to seek different ways to function better in this world.

We go around asking for advice. A handout. A cheat sheet.

Surely, things follow a certain trend. But it is in no way logical that every aspect of a situation can be the same. Same characteristics, temperaments and motivations of the people involved. Same things at stake. And same externalities. That just doesn’t happen.

And it can be claimed with confidence that we take that (planning, thinking and contemplating) way too far than we need to, and do that way more often than we think.
