Things we don’t forgive ourselves for, we forgive in others. We give artists and creators many chances. Even if we don’t like their music, for instance, we give it a try. In some cases a couple of times. If we don’t like it, we don’t like it, we don’t think twice about it. No big deal.

Things we make are of that sort too. Some people won’t like your work, however sophisticated it becomes. And you don’t need to convince them otherwise. It might not be their style.

You got to make things for the people who are interested, yourself being the first one. And sometimes your work will not be as good, which is normal. You also don’t need to think twice about it. You’ll find yourself in a loophole once you start obsessing on the likes.
