Simplifications can be very useful, but they can also be blinding.

So we got to be careful with them, as they are crucial in deciding which way we’re going.

Useful simplifications can take a lifetime for us to understand and put it to use. And they will breed situations that could not before foreseen.

Blinding simplifications are very, very hard to spot. It can take a lifetime to realize that you had this type of simplification that led you to places you did not want to go, even hell. But forming of this type is, more often than not, insignificant, and probably justifiable. Hence why we need to understand that reality is unimaginably complex and be about that.
