It’s not that there’s no value in living life a certain way. In almost any way you choose, there seems to be a huge benefit. And that’s why we choose them.

But what goes wrong, we continuously feel like we need more of that benefit. At a certain point, we completely turn our attention away from the downsides. It’s easy to justify that to ourselves and others that way.

In certain periods of time, some people are better off taking the way that’s the exact opposite. Because, likely, they have advantages too.
