Look around you. There are people who are doing a lot better than you.

Sure, you’ve chosen your path, more or less, see what you’re capable of and it seems attainable. If you’re patient, your time will come. Can’t forget the hard work, of course.

But are you working hard enough, though?

We think of practice as one thing and one thing only. And it is. But think about this for a moment. It takes many forms. You’ll try a bunch of new techniques within your field. You won’t feel like you’re on the same grounds, let alone doing the same things, every time you get up and practice.

You spend the same amount of energy winging everything and aiming for making it big.

When you’re just going with the flow, moving together with the pack, it feels like even the planning part to change your ways requires more energy than the one you have. But it’s not so. Later on, you’re going to spend that energy on regretting not going further. Besides, every choice comes with its cons, so, don’t forget that there’ll be unnecessary drama, daily frustrations, and annoying people.
